Ivor Tiefenbrun and his father Jack Tiefenbrun Ivor Tiefenbrum’s father, Jack, was a farmer’s son born in Poland. The family moved to Vienna when he was five and shortly after the Anschluss Jack escaped to Glasgow. In 1951 he started his own company, The Textile Engineering Company, still in existence today as Castle Precision Engineering. Jack’s mother survived the war, but his father died in Buchenwald.
